Workforce Training has compiled a variety of educational and workforce development links to provide additional resources for organizations and individuals seeking information on some of the many workforce learning solutions that the District has to offer.
OSHA Training Institute Education Center
The OSHA Training Institute Education Center at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District offers high quality Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) standards-based training for construction, maritime and general industry in Pleasanton, California, conveniently located in the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as locations throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii and Guam.
Tri-Valley Career Center
The Tri-Valley Career Center (TVCC) is a community resource, connecting employers with qualified, skilled talent and job seekers with employment and career development opportunities to achieve economic prosperity. We provide a variety of services to employers and job seekers alike. To do this, we collaborate with education, community service, and economic development partners to develop programs and employment services that meet our region’s needs. Though we collaborate with the entire East Bay workforce system, we primarily serve the Tri-Valley region, including Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton and Sunol.
Chabot-Las Positas Community College District Fiscal Sponsor
The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District Fiscal Sponsor Team offers knowledgeable, experienced and confidential support for client organizations. Since 2002, the Fiscal Sponsor has managed dozens of contracts and well over $200 million in projects by serving as the legal agent for the organization that receives the funds, overseeing and tracking how the project funds are spent.
Chabot-Las Positas Community College District
The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District was founded in 1961 and serves the San Francisco East Bay Area, particularly southern Alameda County, through its two colleges: Chabot College in Hayward and Las Positas College in Livermore. The colleges specialize in university transfer, technical training, continuing education, workforce development, contract education with local businesses and cultural enrichment.
Chabot College
Chabot College was established in 1961 and primarily serves residents of Alameda County in the East Bay area, including the district communities of Hayward, Castro Valley, San Leandro, San Lorenzo and Union City. Chabot College offers a curriculum of over 175 majors of study, awarding more than 100 associate degrees and certificates.
Las Positas College
Las Positas College currently enrolls nearly 8,500 day and evening students. The College provides university transfer classes, retraining classes for those in need of employment or career advancement, enrichment classes for those seeking a broader perspective, and career and technical training for those entering the technical and paraprofessional workforce.
