15 years and counting: Our partnership with Associated Builders and Contractors NorCal continues to grow
Since 2008, ABC NorCal has turned to Chabot-Las Positas Community College District Workforce Training to provide mandatory Sexual Harassment Prevention training for its apprentices. The training, provided by qualified HR professionals with deep experience, goes beyond the state minimum requirements by including an additional hour of instruction on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB).
Workforce Training has navigated these challenging topics with empathy and rigor. Materials are updated regularly to ensure compliance with changing laws. Apprentices leave the program not only with the required information, but with tools and techniques to enhance communication and collaboration at work.
The impact of nearly 100 of these classes serving 1,500 students over the years is making a difference for ABC NorCal and for the construction industry. CLPCCD Workforce Training is proud of our long-time partnership with ABC NorCal and our ability to adapt to meet its needs and schedule.
